The Alcester-Hudson Cub softball team continued their winning streak with a 16-0 win over Avon on Monday, April 21st. Emma Moller pitched four shutout innings without allowing a hit and just one walk while striking out nine batters.
The Cubs put four runs on the board in the bottom of the first inning. They had a big nine-run inning in the bottom of the second to increase the lead to 13-0. Alcester-Hudson added one run in the bottom of the third and then ended the game on the 15-run rule with two runs in the bottom of the fourth.
Alcester-Hudson had 16 hits in the game, 14 of them for extra bases. Paxtyn Moller had four hits, three of those double, with five RBIs. Delta Pies had two doubles and a home run with two RBIs. E. Moller had a double and home run with three RBIs. Jenna Manning added two doubles and an RBI. Emma Solberg had a single and double with an RBI. Laney Decker had a triple and two RBIs. Ava Kingma ended with a double and two RBIs, and CJ Koppman had a double.
