Exciting things are happening for the Alcester-Hudson Cubs cross country team. Head coach Joseph Kvale said that due to positive attitudes and love for the support, returning runners from last year have been recruiting classmates. This year’s team has more than doubled from last season, with most of the runners being 8th and 7th graders.
Seniors Stormi Carlson and Hannah Ahart along with sophomore Izzac Sommervold will be asked to lead this year’s team.
“I believe that Alcester-Hudson will be a team to keep an eye on over the next five years. Every year that goes by, the stronger and faster each one of our athletes becomes! Last year my focus was on recruiting, but this year I believe that we can aim higher than that and start winning medals,” said Kvale.
