The Alcster-Hudson Cubs defeated the Chester Flyers in one game and was leading in the second game before it was suspended on Monday, May 6th.
Alcester-Hudson 17, Chester 2
The Flyers scored a run in the top of the first for an early 1-0 lead, but the Cubs scored 10 times in the bottom of the inning and cruised from there. Chester got another run in the top of the second. Alcester-Hudson added five runs in the bottom of the third and two more in the bottom of the fourth to end the game on the 15-run rule.
Emma Moller had three hits, a home run and two doubles, with four RBIs. Jenna Manning had three singles and four RBIs. Paxtyn Moller added three hits, one a double, and two RBIs. Sarah Ebert finished with three hits and an RBI. Elly Doering had a home run and double with three RBIs. Jaeley Christensen had two hits and two RBIs. Alexis Gray had two singles. Delta Pies had a double and an RBI. Emma Solberg also had a single. E. Moller pitched four innings and allowed two earned runs on four hits and a walk with eight strikeouts.
Alcester-Hudson 9, Chester 1 – SUSPENDED
Chester started the second game the same as the first by scoring a run in the top of the first. The Cubs had a five-run bottom of the first inning. Alcester-Hudson had scored four times in the bottom of the third and was still batting when the game was suspended.
