“We are looking forward to a year of building and improving. I am excited to see what goals these athletes are able to achieve throughout the season.” Those were the words of head coach Hillary Terpstra.
This year’s Cubs golf teams return three varsity players from a year ago. For the boys team, Wayne Overhulser (sophomore) and Cole Ahart (freshman) return. Summer Carlson (freshman) returns with varsity experience for the girls team. Although the team only has a total of three varsity returners, Terpstra said that this year’s squad has 18 golfers in the program.
The first meet of the season is currently scheduled for Thursday, April 11th in Yankton.
