Cubs Fourth Quarter Rally Stopped by Centerville

The Alcester-Hudson Cubs boys basketball team put together a rally early in the fourth quarter, but the Centerville Tornadoes stopped it for a 62-50 win on Tuesday, January 30th.

Both offenses got off to a slow start in the game.  The game was tied 6-6 after the first quarter.  The Tornadoes was able to build a four-point lead by halftime, 23-19.  Centerville went on a big run in the third quarter.  They outscored the Cubs 20-12 to take a 43-31 lead into the fourth quarter.  Alcester-Hudson went on an 11-3 run to start the fourth quarter to cut the lead to 46-42, but that was as close as the Cubs would get.  Centerville ended the game on a 16-8 run.

Dominic Van Egdom had 13 points, eight rebounds, and three steals.  William Hallaway finished with 12 points and three rebounds.  Ethan Bovill added 10 points, two rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Mateo Kleinhans had nine points and three assists.  Jose Topete-Lopez had six points and six rebounds.
