Moller No-Hits Beresford, Cubs Softball Team Headed to State

Emma Moller pitched seven innings of no-hit ball and allowed just two walks with 19 strikeouts in a 3-0 win over the Beresford Watchdogs on Saturday, May 20th.  The Alcester-Hudson Cubs finished the regular season with a 12-1 record and automatically qualified for the state tournament as the #1 seed in Class B.

E. Moller put the Cubs on the board with an RBI double in the top of the first inning.  E. Moller added another run for the Cubs with a solo home run to left field in the top of the fourth inning.  Ella Serck gave Alcester-Hudson another run with an RBI single in the top of the seventh.

E. Moller had two hits, a double and a home run, and two RBIs.  Paxtyn Moller finished with three singles.  Elly Doering and Jaeley Christensen both had two hits each.  Serck added a single and an RBI.  Delta Pies and Sarah Ebert both had a single.
