Both the girls and boys track teams placed sixth at the Region 4B meet in Freeman for the Alcester-Hudson Cubs on Thursday, May 18th. The girls team finished with 76 points, while the boys team finished with 68 points.
Carly Patrick finished as the region champion in both the 100m and 200m dashes. Emma Solberg finished second in the 200m dash and third in the 100m dash. Devin Hongslo took second in the shot put. The 4x100m relay team of Ayonna Schissel, Solberg, Emily Winquist, and Patrick finished second. The 4x400m relay team of Ella Serck, Skya Almlie, Solberg, and Winquist also placed second. The 4x00m relay team of Schissel, Winquist, Almlie, and Patrick finished third. Winquist also had a fifth place finish in the 200m dash.
William Hallaway is the region champion in the long jump. Hallaway also finished third in the triple jump. The 4x100m relay team of Evan Brown, Mateo Kleinhans, Darin Dykstra, and Hallaway took second. The 4x400m relay team of Ethan Bovill, Brown, Jayce Jund, and Dykstra was also second. Jund took third in the 300m hurdles. Dominic Van Egdom finished third in the discus. Jose Topete Lopez was fourth in the shot put. The 4x200m relay team of Jund, Dykstra, Kleinhans, and Hallaway placed fourth. Kleinhans finished fifth in the triple jump.
