The Alcester-Hudson Cubs girls and boys golf teams return a total of eight players from a year ago and look to have a promising season in 2023.
The girls team returns state qualifier and senior Lucy Osterkamp. Summer Carlson (8th) and Charleanna Paulson (7th) also return from last year’s team. The boys team returns senior Kaiden Haider, freshman Blake Wielenga and Wayne Overhulser, eighth-grader Cole Ahart, and seventh-grader Kolten Overhulser. Newcomers to the Cubs golf teams this year will be Bente Ideler (senior), Michael Kast (junior), Danika Albaugh-Edgecomb (8th), Ben Meier (6th), Emmett Manning (6th), Jacob Vander Feen (6th), Caleb Ahart (6th), Evan Swets (6th), and Karzen Sommervold (6th).
“I’m looking forward to a great year and am hopeful to have a season of continuous improvement! We have some promising returning players and quite a few new athletes to add to our roster,” said head coacht Hillary Teprstra.
