Elk Point-Jefferson Shuts Down Cub Boys

The road trip for the Alcester-Hudson boys basketball team was a tough one to Elk Point on Friday, January 6th.  The Cubs couldn’t get too much going offensively as the Huskies earned a 70-20 win.  The Elk Point-Jefferson defense held the Cubs to single digit scoring in three of the four quarters.

The Cubs shot just 19% (8-42) overall, 0-13 from three-point area, but 4-4 from the free-throw line.  Elk Point-Jefferson shot 52% (23-44) from the field, 31% (8-26) from three-point area, and 80% (16-20) from the free-throw line.

Jose Topete-Lopez finished with eight points and five rebounds.  Dominic Van Egdom added six points, three rebounds, and two assists.  Mateo Kleinhans, Carter Klaschen, and Tommy Walth all had two points each.
