Cub Football Ready for More Playoff Success in 2022

Published on

The Alcester-Hudson Cub football team is looking to make a deeper run through the playoffs in 2022.  The Cubs advanced to the second round after a shut out win over Sully Buttes in the opening round last season.  Alcester-Hudson finished 5-4 in 2021, which included a last-second win over Burke.

The Cubs will be working hard to build off the success they had last season and look to once again be a playoff team.  Another goal for this season is to compete for a conference title.

They will be returning five starters from last year’s team and six on the defensive side of the ball.  The Cubs will be looking to seniors Caden Winquist and Owen Bovill along with juniors Mateo Kleinhans, Dominic Van Egdom, Aiden Cole, and William Hallaway for leadership.  Sophomores Evan Brown and Jose Topete-Lopez also figure to be key members of the team this year.

Alcester-Hudson begins the 2022 season at home on Friday, August 19th against Centerville.
