The West Central Trojans won their fifth in a row in a blowout victory over Parkston Trojans 83-35 at the Dak-12/NEC Clash in Madison on Saturday, January 29th.
West Central got out to a big lead in the first quarter and never looked back. West Central led 23-6 at the end of the first quarter and then 48-14 at halftime. Despite the running clock in the second half, West Central continued to roll offensively. They outscored Parkston 35-21 in the second half.
West Central shot 52% (31-60) in the game, 44% (11-25) from three-point area, and 75% (9-12) from the free-throw line.
Grafton Stroup had 18 points. Jacob Krempges had nine points and four rebounds. Braden Dierickx and Mobarak Ibrahim both had eight points each. Carter Schmeichel led the team with six rebounds.
West Central will travel to Tri-Valley High School to play the Mustangs on Tuesday, February 1st.
