Myron G. Lamb, age 79, lifetime rural Clark farmer, died suddenly & peacefully at home on Tuesday morning, January 19, 2016. Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 2PM in the Good Hope Lutheran Church east of Clark. Burial will follow services in the Church cemetery. He was born Myron Gene Lamb on February 28, 1936 in Clark, the son of Harold Thomas and Verna Viola (Busch) Lamb. Myron attended the Kirkeby School in Merton Township through the eighth grade. He was needed on the family farm and so began his life of farming. He has lived and farmed in Merton Township since that time.
On November 6, 1955 he was united in marriage to Joyce Froke at the Good Hope Lutheran Church. Myron had been living on the farm and after his marriage, Joyce moved into the home and they have resided in the same place since that time. Over the years, he also helped his brother-in-law, Floyd Lamb on his farm as well.
Preceding him in death were his parents, a sister, Linda Hovde and a brother-in-law, Floyd Lamb.
Grateful for having shared in his life is his wife of over 60 years, Joyce, children, Harley (Joan) Lamb, Carol (David) Warkenthien all of Clark and Paula (Marshall) Drexler of Harrisburg, SD, 7 grandchildren, Christi (Jason), Tyler (Angie), Sarah (Eric), Michael, Laura (Brock), Jeff (Nichole) and Katie (Jeff), 10 great-grandchildren, Allison, Brantley, Braedon, Avery, Makenna, Carson, Kenslee, Kyle, Leighton and Aftyn. He also leaves a sister, Marilyn Lamb of Vienna, a brother, Ronald (Patti) Lamb of Clark and a brother-in-law, Larry Hovde of Dell Rapids, SD and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
