Friday, September 19th
Happy Birthday to Hannah W., Mason P. & Sydney C. & Ms. Schull!!
• Lunch:  a-Pizza Ranch;   b-Taquito Grande;   c-Ham & Cheese Sandwich;

  • Students: Breakfast is NOW being served in the Senior Hallway in the mornings.  Hot items will be served.  You are able to use you lunch account.
  • Attention Students: We will be have a group of HS students (Trevor H., Sarah H., Sam W., Mara A., Mikayla D., Micah G., Sydney S. & Kyle S.) who will be meeting with a representative from Lunchtime Solutions to discuss what is going well with our lunch program and what can be improved. All students should share their concerns with these students.  The meeting has been set for October 9th over lunch.
  • Mr. Tjaden will be the DJ for the Homecoming Dance and has asked students to create a playlist.  There is a playlist sheet in the office for students to add songs. Please keep in mind the songs need to be “school appropriate” and will be reviewed prior to the dance.
  • The Dell Rapids Community Haven is looking for energetic individuals to substitute part-time for the After School Program. Applicants must be caring, self-motivated, enthusiastic, a positive role model for school-aged children, and at least 18 years of age.  Stop by River Community Church (old elementary school) or call 366-8612 for an application.
  • Any student enrolled in an agriculture class this fall or next spring is eligible to join the FFA organization.  Just pay your $15 dues to Mr. Wolff by Sept. 26 and you will be a member of the Dells FFA, the South Dakota FFA and the National FFA.
  • The South Dakota FFA Foundation is awarding gift certificates for FFA jackets.  The applications for the jacket are due by Sept. 20.  Talk to Mr. Wolff for more information and the application form.
  • Order your Quarrier Football Sweatshirts!! The Dell Rapids Football website is OPEN.  Flyers are in the office.  Order online @ https://dellrapids-football.itemorder.com  Site will be open until MIDNIGHT Sept 24th.
  • Dell Rapids “C” team won against the Tri-Valley Mustangs 44-0.  It was a good push on offense and defense.  The leaders on offense were Carson Rentz with two touchdown passes and a rushing touchdown, Adam Nagelhout with 3 touch downs and Seth Spielmann with a two point conversion.  The defensive line did a great job blocking.  The leaders on defense were Josh Heinemann, Matt Gillogly and Jeff Schuch.  All around, good game Freshmen!

  • READY FOR SOME KICKBALL??   Kickball immediately after the parade on Homecoming Friday (Oct 3rd) (Sponsored by: Dell Rapids Connections for a Healthy Community.  All Students in grade 8-12 (teams of 10, any combo of kids) Sign-Up sheets in the office.
  • Good Luck to the Golf  Team as they travel to EPJ today—meet starts at 9am.
  • Good Luck to the freshmen volleyball team as they travel to the Tri-Valley tourney tomorrow starting at 9am.
  • Good Luck to the competitive cheer team as they travel to Brookings tomorrow – competition starts at 11am.
  • Good Luck to the Golf Team as they travel to Dakota Valley on Monday—Meet starts at 9am.
  • FOUND: A pair of glasses that were left in the girl’s restroom and TWO pairs of shoes were left in the gym on Challenge Day!  Please stop in the office to claim

  • Anyone interested in being part of a chess club, meet in Mrs. Huska’s room TODAY at 3:30.
