Thursday, September 29th

  • If you missed the FCCLA meeting this morning, please check with Ms. Rieck to see what you missed.
  • The Dells FFA chapter will be holding a meeting on Monday, Oct. 3 at 7:30 pm in the high school agriculture classroom.
  • flu shot permission forms including a check for $30 are due to the office by this Friday, September 30.
  • Mark your calendars… DRHS formal is Saturday, December 3rd at Rocky Run Golf Course. Just a reminder this is not a school sanctioned event.
  • Any students signed up for challenge day need to stop in the office to pick up a permission slip.
  • A college admissions representative from the University of Sioux Falls will be in Mrs. Ruesink’s office on Thursday, September 29th over lunch.

  • Challenge Day 2016 is coming to Dell Rapids on October 4th!!! YOU MUST FILL OUT A PERMISSION SLIP! They are in the HS office.
    *Be one of the first students to sign up to attend Challenge Day – open to 100 students in grades 9-12 – space is limited 
    *Challenge Day has been featured in the book “Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul” and the award-winning documentary “Teen Files: Surviving High School” 
    *Challenge Day is a day of fun, leadership and powerful experiences that can change the way students view each other forever
    *Students will participate in games, trust building activities and presentations 
    *Goals of the program are to increase personal power and self-esteem, to shift dangerous peer pressure to positive peer support and to eliminate the acceptability of teasing,    violence and all forms of oppression.”

  • Any juniors or seniors interested in being a Study Buddy to an elementary or middle school student 20-30 minutes each week – please see Mrs. Ruesink 
  • The Dell Rapids School District has several surplus flat panel monitors for sale. Each monitor is $20.00. Please see IT Staff if you would like to purchase a monitor. Thanks!

  • Any high school students interested in learning about career opportunities in the fields of Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or Land Surveying should consider attending the Engineering Technology Camp on September 21st at Southeast Tech. Please see Mrs. Ruesink if you are interested.

  • Attention Students:  See you at the Pole will be held tomorrow morning at 7:30am by the flag pole outside the middle school doors.  All students and staff are welcome to attend.
