The Weekend Warriors in Dell Rapids will be Raking-the-Town on Saturday, October 26th. This will be a free service to the community and all Dell Rapids residents are encouraged to participate.
How can you participate in this event?
Volunteer: Volunteers of all ages are welcomed and encouraged to participate. What a great way to encourage our children to experience the reward of servanthood!
Participate: Can’t volunteer, but still want to make a difference? Simply rake yours or a neighbor’s yard. If you are willing, snap a picture and post it to the Weekend Warriors Facebook page (click here for page) to show your completed work!
Refer: Do you have a friend, family or neighbor that might appreciate the help? Let us know, we will gladly knock on their door if you have a recommendation.
Donate: Volunteers need tarps, rakes, leaf blowers, trucks and Halloween leaf bags.
To volunteer, refer, donate or make a request, please contact Courtney Person at 605-310-9890 or, notify us via our Facebook page. The event will kick-off at 12:30pm in the Dell Rapids high school parking lot.
Volunteers are welcomed for any amount of time. Though pre-notification is not a requirement, it is encouraged and appreciated.
All Weekend Warriors projects are free services provided to local Dell Rapids residents by local volunteers. Assistance will be offered on a first come, first serve basis and volunteer availability will be a consideration.
