The Dell Rapids School District will be offering free developmental screenings for children ages three through age five that live within the school district boundaries. The screening will take place on Monday, March 13th. Registration deadline is Wednesday, March 8th. Registration can be done online at http://www.dr-k12.org/special/childhood_screening or by calling the school at 428.5473 option 6.
Kindergarten Registration is also open until Wednesday, February 22nd. If your child will be five on or before September 1, 2017, you must register your child. This registration is for your child to be scheduled for Kindergarten screening. Current KPrep students do not need to register for this year’s Kindergarten screening. Registration can be done online at http://www.dr-k12.org/special/kindergarten_registration.
The 10k will begin at 9:00 a.m., the 5k and 1-mile walk at 9:30 a.m., and the kid’s relay race will start at 11:00 a.m.

1 mile is open to everyone and is stroller- and child-friendly – only the adult must pay entry fee to participate. Extra t-shirts are available (see below). Registration is 8:30-9:15am at the Dell Rapids City Park.
10K and 5K are hand timed and include an event t-shirt. Prizes awarded to the top male and female finisher in each division for both races: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over. Registration & Warm-Up: 10k – 8:00-8:45am, 5k – 8:30-9:15am – both at the Dell Rapids City Park.
Kids’ Relay Race is a four-person baton relay race, which is hand timed and includes an event t-shirt. Course will begin at Dell Rapids City Park (north side of the river) and will continue on the bike path through the park. Participants must enter as a team of four. Teams will compete in age group divisions: 6-7, 8-9, and 10-12. Prizes awarded to all runners. Check in at 10:30 in City Park.

- brownie mixes
- instant potatoes
- canned fruit
- Jell-O and pudding (sugar free and regular)
- canned meat or fish
- peanut butter and jelly
- laundry supplies
- boxed meals
- baked beans (not green)
Items can be dropped off at either the Methodist Church or put in the Lutheran Church of Dell Rapids’ grocery cart just inside the entryway.
