The Madison Bulldogs ended the Quarrier Volleyball season by beating Dell Rapids in the semifinals of the Region 3A tournament on Thursday, November 6th, at Sioux Falls Christian High School.\u00a0 The Bulldogs won by scores of 23-25, 25-14, 25-21, 25-15.<\/p>\n
Dell Rapids opened up the match with a win in the first set.\u00a0 Madison quickly recovered from the first set and controlled the entire second set to tie the match at 1-1.\u00a0 Dell Rapids appeared to be headed to a second set win in the third set leading 18-12, but Madison rallied to outscore Dell Rapids 13-3 to gain the momentum and pick up their second win of the match.\u00a0 Carrying the momentum of the come-from-behind win in the previous set, Madison rallied to the match win in the fourth set.<\/p>\n
Emily Boyle was one of the leaders for the Quarriers in the match finishing with 12 service points and two blocks.\u00a0 Sarah Haak added six points along with 18 assists.\u00a0 Shelby Wrage tallied 16 digs and six service points.\u00a0 Kiah Schumacher added seven kills for the Quarriers, and Brittany Kludt had four kills and two blocks.<\/p>\n
Seven Quarrier senior volleyball players had their Dell Rapids career come to an end.\u00a0 The seniors are Baily Munk, Tiffany Finkral, Kyrsten Williams, Brittnay Welbig, Emily Boyle, Shelby Wrage, and Sarah Haak.<\/p>\n
