\"DRHSvsTV_VB_9-18-14_2\"<\/a>The Dell Rapids Quarrier volleyball team lost a tough match to the Tri-Valley Mustangs on Thursday, September 18th, by scores of 12-25, 10-25, 25-23, 28-26, 5-15.<\/p>\n

Tri-Valley took the first two games with relative ease, but the Quarriers fought back in a back-and-forth third game.\u00a0 With the score tied 23-23, Dell Rapids scored the final two points to push the match to a fourth game.\u00a0 The Quarriers rode the momentum early in the fourth game gaining an 18-10 lead.\u00a0 The Mustangs fought back and tied the game up late.\u00a0 Tri-Valley then had the fourth game at match point three different times before Dell Rapids rallied for three straight points to win game four at 28-26.\u00a0 However, the Quarriers could not complete the comeback as Tri-Valley took the fifth game 15-5 to win the match.<\/p>\n

Shelby Wrage had eight service points and 14 digs in the match.\u00a0 Baily Munk ended the night with 23 digs.\u00a0 Brittany Kludt and Mikaela Stofferahn had three blocks each defensively.\u00a0 Emily Boyle finished with 11 kills, and Stofferahn had nine kills.\u00a0 Sarah Haak had 30 assists in the match.<\/p>\n

Dell Rapids fell to 4-5 on the year.\u00a0 The Quarriers will travel to Garretson on Tuesday, September 23rd.<\/p>\n
